Tesla Announces $1.15 Billion Capital Raise, Musk Buys Shares”

The Tesla Model Y is finally being prepped for launch and is expected to be a crossover version of the company's mass-market vehicle - the Model 3 according to a report. Though Tesla has a long story of product delays, it will be fascinating of the Model 3 will actually ship on time. Around 7 million crossovers were sold all over the USA a year ago that can become a fate of Model Y if it gets famous.

This video is not the first Model 3 we have seen, though it is the first time we've seen the auto cruising down the street in regular traffic.

Afterwards, the company will need to push the limits of the capabilities of Tesla's suppliers and those of its own plant in Freemont, California, as both the Model 3 and Y will be huge volume providers.

Autocar reports that the Model Y will feature the same style of gullwing hinged rear doors as the Model X and will offer an interior close in options and spirit to the Model 3. Model Y is expected to be boxier and the extended frontal area might mean a bigger battery for the same range.

As Tesla has grown more successful with each passing year, the company's plans for EV domination has become far more ambitious.
