Ed Sheeran is headlining Glastonbury”

Ed Sheeran is the third and final headliner at this year's Glastonbury, where he will close the Pyramid stage on Sunday 25 June.

He has always been rumoured to be closing out the festival on Sunday night and has now officially confirmed his appearance via a short video on Instagram.

The full line-up will be announced at a later date.

A music fan who had already bought a ticket to the festival posted online that he wanted a "refund" after hearing Sheeran would be headlining.

Ed first played the festival - the largest in the world - in 2011, appearing on the BBC Introducing stage before the release of his debut album.
