Governor calls BS on state budget with actual bullsh”

West Virginia's governor vetoed his state legislature's budget on Thursday by calling it "political bull-you-know-what" - and brought a hunk of the smelly stuff along to make his point.

Addressing the media in the state capitol, Justice unveiled a series of props as he built up to his announcement. He uncovered the first two trays to reveal a "nothing burger" and a "mayonnaise sandwich," references to colorful ways he criticized budget plans earlier this month.

Justice vowed to veto the budget.

According to the West Virginia Center on Budget and Policy's most recent budget brief, Justice would close the state's budget gap by raising $450 million in new revenue, largely from increased sales and business taxes.

Justice accused the legislature of playing politics with the bill, presenting him with an unwise document in the hopes that he would veto it. Should a new round of budget negotiations prove necessary, let us hope it is conducted in a more mature manner. "If we're this way, you know what we'll get done?" It also takes $90 million from the state's Economic Stabilization Fund, better known as the Rainy Day Fund. The fiscal year starts July 1.

Wells Fargo's recovery from a costly scandal
There was no joined-up effort by either the bank's human resources or legal divisions to track and analyze the problem. The way Carrie Tolstedt told it, she caught the banking bug early when she was a child in a small Nebraska town.

House Speaker Tim Armstead, a Republican, did not appreciate Justice's theatrics - or the veto.

The West Virginia Chamber of Commerce said at the end of March that it would to support the governor's proposal to levy a.00045 CAT on businesses, which could collect about $45 million.

"From the beginning, the Senate's position has been to deliver a budget to the people of West Virginia that lives within its means, and to do that within the 60 days of the regular Legislative session".

Only this time the poop-fueled argument was for more government ... We remain committed to working with both the House of Delegates and the governor to control spending.
