Police arrested a NY man accused of robbing more than 100 cellphones from attendees at the Coachella Art and Music Festival, officials said Monday.

He was detained by event security until police arrived and found Henao with a backpack contained over 100 phones, police said.

Officers say he was found with the cell phones in a backpack.

When festival-goers noticed their iPhones had been taken, they activated Find My iPhone to track the location of their devices.

NY resident Reinaldo De Jesus Henao, 36, was arrested at 5:50 p.m. Friday at the festival grounds, located at 81500 Avenue 51, according to the Indio Police Department. "One of the common threads was that they were all losing their phones at the Sahara tent". When people began to notice their phones were missing, many chose to enlist the help of their respective "find my phone" service.

Several devices were returned to their owners on Friday evening and Saturday morning. But at least one man was caught with over 100 stolen phones within the venue. More than 130 phones were collected from Henao's backpack, and majority have been returned to their owners.

Meanwhile, Henao is believed to have been charged with grand theft and receiving stolen property. Henao posted bail and was released from custody.
