United changes policy, crew can't displace seated passengers”

The incident has created a major publicity nightmare for United Airlines and the internet is showing no mercy as well. It's something Delta already seemed to have mastered, even prior to the its new monetary compensations, as it "got more passengers to give up their seats than any other United States airline" past year.

Dao was removed because there were not enough seats in the fully booked flight for four United employees to fly from Chicago, Illinois, to Louisville, Kentucky.

United has been struggling to contain the fallout from the controversial incident, which has sparked nationwide outrage and calls for congressional hearings.

If a crew member isn't booked an hour before the flight, then they will have to wait for the next available plane.

The airline said the change to its employee booking policy was an initial step as it reviewed policies to "deliver the best customer experience". If not, they need to be placed on the next available flight. Schmerin confirmed the authenticity of the published email.

In the skit, Hype, who plays both a passenger and a United Airline crewmember, reacts by saying it will be "pure bacchanal" if someone tried to remove a West Indian from the flight. United Airlines has offered the couple flying credit as compensation, CBC reports.

"The family of Dr. Dao wants the world to know that they are very appreciative of the outpouring of prayers, concern and support they have received".

Videos from witnesses that filmed Dao showed him bloodied and in distress after security forcibly pulled him from his seat and dragged him by his arms down the aisle.

The video has been viewed millions of times worldwide, and caused a global uproar and grabbed headlines in multiple countries. The incident - and Munoz's muted response to it - also prompted worldwide outrage, particularly from China, where public anger was fuelled by reports that the passenger was Asian.

United's stock dropped as much as 6.3 percent Tuesday, before leveling off at a 2.7 percent loss. Munoz issued a more humbled apology the same day. One alyuh touch me and see what happen. The CEO has said he has no plans to resign. It's never too late to do the right thing.

"Our flight attendants helped a customer who was stung by what appeared to be a scorpion on a flight last week", United said in a statement.

United faced protests over the treatment of David Dao.

The policy change comes in the wake of a highly publicized incident on April 9 in which a paying customer who had already boarded was violently dragged off the aircraft by law enforcement officers.

Thing is, United's new rule change is somewhat redundant.

In a statement released three days ago, United Airlines said: "This disgusting situation has provided a harsh learning experience from which we will take immediate, concrete action". Attorney Thomas Demetrio said that Dao will "probably" sue.
